Our client, a well-established and growing service provider in the door industry, is looking for an experienced Automatic & Industrial Door Engineer to join their team covering the Yorkshire region. With a strong focus on quality service and technical expertise, this company supports a wide portfolio of commercial clients and offers a stable, rewarding working environment for skilled engineers.
Role Overview:
As a Door Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of systems, including:
- Automatic doors
- Industrial doors (roller shutters, sectional, high-speed)
- Access control and security barriers
- Dock levellers and gates
You’ll work independently, covering a regional patch, with occasional travel beyond as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostic repairs (electrical & mechanical)
- Completing service reports and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Participating in a call-out rota (1 in 4/5 weeks)
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience in the automatic/industrial door sector
- Strong fault-finding skills (3-phase electrical an advantage)
- EN16005, CSCS, IPAF or PASMA certification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and time management skills
Package & Benefits:
- Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
- Overtime, call-out fees & travel time paid
