TSM Technical are working in partnership with a growing independent automatic door company based in the North West, who are looking to appoint an experienced Automatic Door Installation Engineer to support the next phase of their growth.

This opportunity would suit a fully competent installation engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is looking to play a key role in helping drive the business forward. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where your work will genuinely be valued, your input will be recognised, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact as the company continues to grow.

They are looking for a long-term addition to the team - someone who wants to contribute to the future success of the business and progress as the company expands.

The Role
• Leading and carrying out automatic door installations to a high standard
• Service, maintenance and fault-finding across automatic door systems
• Working on a range of automatic door equipment across commercial sites

• Supporting customers with technical knowledge and solutions on-site
• Covering the North West region, mainly around Preston and surrounding areas
• No London travel and ideally no further South than Chester

What They’re Looking For
• Proven experience installing automatic door systems independently
• Fully competent in installations from start to completion
• Ability to carry out servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis where required
• Strong technical understanding of automatic door products and site requirements
• EN16005 knowledge desirable
• A reliable and professional engineer who takes pride in their workmanship
• Someone ambitious who wants to be part of a growing business and contribute to its future success

Salary & Benefits
• Up to £45,000 basic salary (£21.60ph)
• 40-hour working week
• Overtime readily available
• Time and a half paid between 6pm – 12am
• Double time paid between 12am – 6am
• NO on-call rota
• Company van (private use)
• Fuel card
• Mobile phone
• Industry-specific tools provided
• 28 days holiday + birthday off
• Additional 2 days annual leave for every year with the business (up to 30 + BH)
• £500 signing bonus after successful completion of probation (6 months)
• £1,000 loyalty bonus after 12 months
• Company pension following probation

Career Progression

One of the standout aspects of this opportunity is the long-term progression available. As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to:

• Progress into leadership or management roles
• Lead projects and installation teams
• Support with training and mentoring future engineers
• Play a key role in shaping the future growth of the company

You’ll work closely with an experienced director who values engineers, supports career progression and understands the importance of work-life balance and family commitments.

If you’re an experienced installation engineer looking to join a business where you’ll be respected, supported and have the opportunity to grow long term, we’d love to hear from you.
