Automatic Door Service Engineer – Cambridge
Salary: Up to £20 per hour (£46,800 basic) + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime + On-Call

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an Automatic Door Service Engineer to cover Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

The Role
As an Automatic Door Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and repairing a wide range of automatic door systems across commercial and industrial sites.
You will also have exposure to industrial doors, gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment, making this a varied and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Service, maintenance, repair, and fault finding on automatic door systems
• Working on equipment from manufacturers including Record, Dorma, Tormax, ASSA ABLOY, GEZE, and similar
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with industry standards and regulations
• Providing excellent customer service whilst representing the company professionally
• Participating in a 1-in-7 weekend on-call rota
About You
We are keen to speak with engineers who have:
• Previous experience servicing and maintaining automatic doors
• Knowledge of Record, Dorma, Tormax, ASSA ABLOY, GEZE, or similar products
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good customer-facing skills
• EN16005 certification (preferred but not essential)
Experience working on industrial doors, gates, and barriers would be highly advantageous, although automatic door experience remains the primary requirement.

• Up to £20 per hour (£46,800 basic)
