We’re working with a well-established and rapidly growing business within the automatic and industrial door industry. Due to continued growth and new contracts in the London area, they’re now looking for an Automatic Door Engineer to join their friendly, close-knit team.

The Role
As an Automatic Door Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs (majority of the role)
- Occasional installation work
- Working mainly with commercial and retail clients across London and the surrounding areas
- Covering regional work, with jobs planned as locally as possible to your home location
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with EN16005 standards
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally at all times
What They’re Looking For
- EN16005 compliant (essential)
- Previous experience working on automatic doors
- Experience with industrial doors, gates, or barriers would be an advantage but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn — the company is open to engineers with less experience if they have the right approach and motivation to develop
What’s on Offer
- Up to £44,460 basic salary (based on £18 per hour / 47.5-hour week)
- Door-to-door pay
- Overtime: Time and a half between 05:00–07:30 and 17:30–00:00, Double time thereafter
- On-call rota: approximately 1 in 6, £175 standby fee, Call-outs paid at 1.5x
- Company van (available for personal use)
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
