Industrial Door Engineer – South West

Location Coverage: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton, Truro, Torbay, North Devon and surrounding areas.

TSM Technical are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in the industrial door sector. Due to sustained growth and an increasing workload, they are looking to recruit an additional Industrial Door Engineer to strengthen their service and installation team.

The Role

As an Industrial Door Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out service, repair and installation work on a wide range of industrial door systems (roller shutters, sectional doors, fast action doors, dock levellers etc.).
• Attending both planned maintenance visits and emergency call-outs across the South West.
• Working alongside a fitter’s mate who will provide support with labouring and on-site assistance.
• Providing excellent customer service while representing the business on client sites.
• Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 4/5 weeks).

• Hourly Rate: From £16.50/hr (approx. £38,610 annually based on 45 hours/week).
• Door-to-door pay: Overtime paid at 1.5x outside of core working hours 
• On-Call Payments: £50 standby + £50 per call-out (with call-outs paid at 1.5x).

Requirements

We are looking for engineers who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience working with industrial doors 
• A full UK driving licence.
• Ideally hold IPAF and CSCS card
• A flexible approach to working hours and participation in the on-call rota.
• Strong fault-finding skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
