Industrial Door Engineer

South West – Devon (Exeter, Plymouth & surrounding areas)
Up to £23 per hour + excellent overtime + door-to-door pay


The Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join a well-established and growing team covering the South West region.

This is a varied role combining installation, service, maintenance, and repair work across a wide range of industrial and commercial door systems.

You’ll be working on a busy regional patch with excellent earning potential through overtime and on-call work.

Key Responsibilities

You will be working on:

  • Industrial doors & steel doors
  • Roller shutters
  • High-speed doors
  • Sectional doors

Additional duties include:

  • Mechanical, electrical & electronic fault finding
  • Basic electrical wiring tasks
  • Reactive breakdown repairs
  • Planned maintenance visits
  • Participation in a 1 in 5 on-call rota

  • 40-hour week (Monday–Friday)

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in industrial doors / shutters / loading bay systems
  • Strong mechanical & electrical fault-finding ability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills

Desirable:

  • IPAF
  • CSCS
  • Multi-skilled engineering background
