Service Engineer – Automatic Doors

About the Role
TSM Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer and service provider of automatic pedestrian door systems and aluminium shopfronts. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Automatic Door Service Engineer to join their expanding team in the Leicestershire / Midlands region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety – working across service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of automatic door systems. You’ll receive full product training and ongoing support, joining a business that truly invests in its people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on automatic door systems
- Responding to reactive call-outs, scheduled servicing, and planned maintenance
- Assisting with installation projects when required
- Liaising with the office for scheduling and completing digital job reports
- Delivering excellent customer service while working independently or within a team
What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience servicing & maintaining automatic doors
✅ BS7036 / EN16005 certification (essential)
✅ Full UK driving licence
✅ Strong communication & organisational skills
✅ Ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload
✅ Flexible, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach
✅ Willingness to undergo a disclosure/DBS check
Pay & Hours
- Salary: Dependent on experience
- 40-hour working week
- Door-to-door pay
- On-call allowance: £26 per week night / £70 per weekend day
- Call-out hours paid at 1.5x standard rate
- Overtime: 1.5x Mon–Fri
- Weekend hours at 1.5x
- Monthly efficiency bonus (team-based)
