We’re recruiting for a well-established and growing business looking to add an experienced Multi-Skilled Door Engineer to their team covering Yorkshire and the North West.

This is a varied field-based role working across automatic doors, industrial doors, shutters, gates and barriers across commercial and industrial customer sites.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Service, maintenance and repair work
  • Fault finding and reactive breakdowns
  • Installation work when required
  • Working across a variety of automatic and industrial door systems
  • Supporting customers on-site and delivering a professional service
  • Participating in a 1 in 6/7 on-call rota

The work is varied, the coverage is manageable, and there’s plenty of overtime available for engineers who want it.


Pay, Hours & Overtime

  • Standard Rate: 06:00 – 17:00

  • Time & Half: 05:00 – 06:00 and 17:00 – 21:00

  • Double Time: 21:00 – 05:00, Saturday PM and Sundays

  • £80 Rest Payment if called out past midnight

  • Paid door-to-door travel

  • Ongoing overtime opportunities available

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working on automatic and industrial doors

  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability

  • Gates & barriers experience beneficial

  • ADSA / DHF / IPAF preferred

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Professional and customer-focused approach
